Hisayasu Soto's psychological horror film SPLATTER: NAKED BLOOD is an exercise in extremity. After a young scientist named Eiji develops a drug that converts pain into pleasure, he tests it on three young women. But Eiji learns that his drug works when his guinea pigs become involved in rituals of pleasuring self-mutilation. The film involves outrageously graphic depictions, and comes highly recommended for fans of underground Japanese horror.
