The film really captures what it must have been like to be an artist in New York City during the whole fingerless glove phenomenon of 1984. And by employing scripted dialogue, and by having semi-trained actors enunciate said scripted dialogue with their mouths (a small horizontal opening just below the nose), resembles an actual film at times.
