John Gisberts is a helicopter pilot at the Dutch army. Together with his wife and four children he lives in a spacious villa, just like the family members of the other officers. However, a warm family environment is out of the question. John is hardly at home and his wife is not averse of having a bit on the side. Their two youngest sons, Jan-Julius and Valentijn, don�t get a proper education and the two adolescents of the family, Thijs and Madelon are tired of the irresponsible behavior of their parents.
