The annual ceremony, presented by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, recognizes outstanding achievements and performances by people of color in the fields of TV, film, music and literature. ï¿½The Helpï¿½ leads all films with eight nominations, including best motion picture. ï¿½Greyï¿½s Anatomyï¿½ and ï¿½The Game,ï¿½ with six nominations apiece, lead the TV categories. In music, Jill Scott and Beyoncï¿½ each have four nominations.

While India is fighting against the British rule on the political level spear-headed by Mahatma Gandhi, Ambedkar wages a social battle against the Upper Caste Hindus. Ambedkar and Gandhi clash in their ideologies. Yet Gandhi admires Ambedkar and it is on his insistence that Ambedkar is made the first Law Minister in Prime Minister, Nehru\'s rule. The film ends on the note of salvation - where Ambedkar gives millions of untouchables an alternate religion where they find dignity, compassion and equality. He publicly renounces Hinduism and adopts Buddhism.$
