1880s California. Estella is obsessed with the idea that she can see and speak with her fianc�e, Stephen, who died several years before. But when the arrogant and opium addicted hypnotist Daniel appears on the scene, he unexpectedly challenges Estella to question her commitment to a love that has long since died. It is a story set in the Old West but told from a uniquely female perspective, about the curative power of sexuality, and about learning to love again after a loss.
