One Step Beyond: Papa Gino and Son Mario Patruzzio, of famous big-top aerialist troupe, have an argument about respect for Mario's wife, Carlotta. In performance, Gino falls, is injured and remains in a coma, while Mario, despite, as everyone knows, not having been the cause, feels intense guilt, which though misplaced is the reason he quits the circus. Unable to find work elsewhere, he finally goes to the tent to vent his frustration and perhaps to end it all, but a certain fall is prevented by the hands of his father (still in a coma in the hospital!)--just as Gino wakes up. Astroprojection, telekinesis, teleportation?
