Tales of the Unexpected: A bearded, simple-minded stranger, wearing a top hat and a multi-coloured coat, appears in a village. He is soon a favourite with the local children, who call him Sir Columbus, and he seems charming and harmless, with a nice line in magic tricks. One day, Sir Columbus talks his way into the office of a local business man, reveals himself as a visitor from the man's guilty past, and commits what might be the perfect murder.
