Mrs. Adela Bradley could be described as the naughty version of the rather dull Mrs. Marple: a quintessentially English lady sleuth, before the war, upper class, rich enough for a Rolls Royce with private driver (George Moody, her hunky and faithful assistant in nearly everything), a real socialite, always on the road, sassy, even provocative, an arrogant suffragette.
