The bulldog crime-boss Bugsy Vile was inspired by the building\'s grouchy bulldog superintendent Bruno. Ace\'s love interest Rosie was based on Eliot\'s unrequited feelings for his neighbor Colleen, and so on. The Muppet characters were unaware of this.$
